About work
Adaeze holds an archive of over six hundred woven patterns, most of them documented only as photographs in a family album.
The first ready-to-wear line drew on eleven of them, and the campaign had to carry both the weave and the reason it exists.

The approach
We shot the cloth before we shot the clothes — macro frames of each weave, printed large, used as the backdrop for the garment photography.
Every look is captioned with the pattern name and the decade it was first woven.

The outcome
The line sold out its first drop in under two weeks.
The archive imagery was acquired for a permanent textile exhibition the following year.
