About work
After nine years of wholesale, Sable & Stone started shipping to customers directly and discovered their pieces were arriving beautifully and feeling like nothing.
The box was the only part of the studio a customer would ever touch before the ceramic itself.

The approach
We designed the unboxing as a three-beat sequence — sleeve, tissue, card — with the maker’s name and firing date handwritten on the last one.
Everything is uncoated, unbleached and glue-free so the whole thing composts.
The outcome
Returns from transit damage dropped to under 1%.
Unprompted unboxing posts became the studio’s largest acquisition channel within six months.
